Obama : i wasn't sleeping but now i'm scared

In homage to America, i wanted tonight to write this post in english. As good as i can for a poor not very fluent french...

They did it ! American people elected Barack Obama as the president of the United States of America. And i was not sleeping ! It was late in france (3 am) but i couldn't miss it so i am convinced it's a real historical event in the whole world. I was in front of my TV, not in Harlem streets, but i was there !

I'm just starting to change my mind about America and Americans. Till now they were really frightening me. Now i'm wondering that these people are finally serious... At last !

That's the really first time a political character makes me believe in him. Its communication strategy was very good i think, but there's something else. There's a movement, there's a man who offers to us a real new vision of politics, a modern one. He speaks with real words, he seems to be true. He seems to be guided by passion not by power or money. This man lives for equality ! It sounds like Mary Poppins, i know... But for once i want to believe in a political movement. Once in my life.

Obama won. Ok that's a fact... But now i'm scared. I can be optimistic on the fact that he will be a good president but i'm not very confident in his opponents. And god knows they are plenty ! All the good things that happen to our world are destroyed by extremists and powerful people. I'm not just thinking about Malcom X or Martin Luther King... This man seems too good for such a bad world.

What is it going to happen to block Barack Obama's action ?
